SPIRITUAL ADOPTION

How You Can Help

Studies have shown that people who had others praying for them healed more quickly and had better medical outcomes than those who did not have a prayer partner.  Our kids need that spiritual partner helping them have a better outcome in their lives as well.  We firmly believe in the power of prayer in the lives of young people.

We encourage you to adopt one of our kids spiritually and provide them with that extended family who supports them both in prayer and in finaces.  You can email them and have a real part in their lives as well as exchange video messages.

How does the donation portion of Spirtitual Adoption work?

Most families in Ethopia do not make enough money to support their own children let alone someone else's child.  So when children here lose their parents even if they have a relative who would be willing to care for the child often, financially it is imposible for them to do so.  When you spirtually adopt a child not only do you support them with your prayer, but financially as well.  The $50.00 donation is split into two, one part goes directly to the support of the child and the other goes to the support of other children waiting for adoption.  We find a family member who can with Hand of God Ministries and your help take in the child.  The money is a blessing to the family because often it is enough to feed the entire family.  The child you spiritual adopts gets not only food, but a sense of family and stability after a tragic loss.  The other $20.00 of the adoption donation goes to feeding children who are not yet adopted out, and helping with college funds so that our children will one day be out of poverty.  This is a 10 - 12 year commitment you make with a child.  Your commitment puts them through elementary and high school as well as the first steps in their higher education.

By entering into covenant partnership with us in the Spirit of Adoption, you commit that:

                 1. You will prayerfully stand in the gap as a parent for your adoptive child;

                 2. You will act as a spiritual covering for your adoptive child

 3. You will provide monthly support of at least $50.00 per month paid to Hand of God Ministries.
